Wildwaves

Bayley, Daryl and Max excited to ride the hand glider.
On the hand glider.
Maxwell & RubyMae
Bayley and Max on the scrambler.
Last week Daryl took a vacation day in the middle of the week to go to Wildwaves with us. We all had a great time. Ruby pushed her way onto big slide and without a life jacket. I caught up to her just in time to see the lifeguard pull her out of the water. Needless to say I was a little upset. We spent the rest of the time in the wave pool.

Mud Mountain Dam

RubyMae, Emma, Bayley
Sadie, Max, Isaac
This was a really cool park we went to a couple of weeks ago. It had 4 different play structures. The wading pool was a little cold. The kids had a blast. It is a bit of a drive but the scenery is so worth it. Normally there is a hike that takes you down to the white river I think. On this day it was closed.

Dragon Kisser

This week our favorite neighbors/cousins are out of town visiting family. We miss them. We even miss the fun stories Sadie writes on notebook paper in three different colors. She is a couple years younger than Bayley but her sweetness makes up for the age difference. I thought I would share with you the most recent installment of the Sadie Chronicles.
It doesn't have a title so I will entitle it "Dragon Kisser"

Once apoun at time there was captin Bayley. and She fed horses. and even had one that had long silkey hair and her skin was all wight her hoofs was silver and eyes of a rainbow! She ran faster then the wind! Well she as the captin horse girl she was as tired as a dead branch. So she went to sleep and forgot all about her horse named marubell in fact she forgot so much that she forgot to feed her! the horse was sad and hungry! but mostly hungry so she ran way! and disappeared into the forest. Wene Bayley wokeup she relized that she forgot that she had to feed her horse! She ran into the woods. but she got stuck in these vines! Lucky she had sissors. She took the sissors and cuted the vines of and ran some more. but then she ran into a dragon Bayley held as prisoner she thought and thought then she thought of something! She asked the dragon to come near her and Kiss!!! She kissed the dragon good night. And the keys tumbled by and she unlocked herself with a blink of an eye and she was out! of prison then she finally found the horse and they lived happily ever after!!!

Changes

I know. I am having a hard time choosing a background. I really like this one. I will probably keep it. Sorry if you think I am random. It takes me a few weeks to decide I don't like something.

One nation under God

The Fourth of July has to be one of my favorite holidays. Of all the wonderful freedoms that I enjoy in this country, my most precious is freedom of religion. It didn't always come easy in this nation. I will never forget the sacrifices my ancestors made for my family. So on Independence day we always start the day off with a ride in my Grandpa's model-t Ford. He has it decorated with flags. The kids all jump in and ride around the block from sun up to sun down. Wishing
everyone a Happy Fourth of July.

This year we camped on Grandma & Grandpa Reed's property. They treated us to a BBQ and smores. The Reed's are serious about BBQ. It included 9 cases of pop. 4 different yummy meats to choose from and lots of other fantastic side dishes.
Max and Morgan and Grandpa Reed. Max's face looks like he is thinking "did you just see what Grandpa handed us?" Ruby fell asleep before the sun went down so she missed out on fireworks this year. We got up the next morning and had blueberry pancakes and bacon. Daryl always cooks when we are camping so I felt extra special being able to sit and eat with the kids.

Bayley with her cousin Keira. Keira is only 2 1/2 but is as tall as Ruby! She followed Bayley around most of the time. If Bayley sat down Keira insisted on being on her lap. I think Bayley was a little flattered by all the attention.

Just Mommy and Me

Bayley and I went on a hike and picnic lunch. It was planned by her Activity Day leader. The girls had to help make the lunch. Bayley did a great job on my lunch. She made me a ham sandwich with two pieces of provolone cheese! And lots of lettuce. Yum, Yum. She was very fun to hike with. We did the Fitness treks trail. All along the way were different stations to do various exercises. I had so much fun . Bayley is so fun to hang out with. What a fun young woman she is becoming. Bayley's favorite books growing up were the "Little Critters" . They have very few words on each page. I would read them to her over and over until she had them all memorized. When someone would come over, she would get out her books and "read". So I thought Just Mommy and Me was a great title for our hike.

Maxwell Is Seven!!!

Max had a Star Wars Lego Birthday party this year. Complete with a Darth Vader Pinata Head.
I got up early to make cupcakes with thumb fighters and Lego gummies on top. For some reason they didn't turn out. So I just threw together this cake. It looks pretty wild. Max really didn't care. He had fun the whole day.

Some of Max's friends in Darth Vader masks.
Max got some great gifts. This is a really neat Indiana Jones game. It is just like the new movie.
